CI Scientific Pty Ltd (CIS) is an Australian proprietary company established in 1969, that specialises in repair, maintenance and calibration of scientific and specialised measuring instruments employed in various research and industrial laboratories and testing facilities.
Furthermore, we are an exclusive Australian selling agent of various brands that manufactures highly specialised imported instruments. This supply chain has strong synergies with the company’s servicing activities and allows for the provision of tailored and comprehensive solutions to our clients.
COMPANY HISTORY
CI Scientific is a family owned business, founded in 1969 by Mr Jurgen F Cyrulla. The business underwent a restructuring in 2005 when Mr Jurgen M Cyrulla became a major shareholder and the firm’s sole director. A further reformation took place in 2013, with the formation of Autoclave Australia Pty Ltd as a wholly owned subsidiary to oversee the rapidly growing sterilisation business. In 2016 the incorporation of CI Scientific Victoria was completed to provide a vehicle that would bring our business closer to our Victorian customers.
CORE COMPETENCIES
Since its inception the company has built a strong reputation across a range of industry sectors, for its know-how and ability to repair and maintain specialised laboratory equipment and scientific measuring instruments. Through working closely with international scientific instrumentation manufacturers over many years in servicing their equipment in Australia, strategic partnerships emerged that led to CI Scientific securing exclusive distribution rights of over 20 different brands of highly specialised equipment.
CURRENT POSITION AND GOALS
The firm’s range of services cover emergency equipment repairs, routine maintenance contracts and calibration of a broad range of measuring instruments, under the banner of the company’s NATA accreditation. These services are offered to our clients across our business units. The business operates from our premises located in an industrial park at Seven Hills in the Western suburbs of Sydney, New South Wales (Australia). The business recently relocated to larger premises in Seven Hills but has operated in the general area for over 40 years. In addition to our relocation in New South Wales, we established a new office at an industrial park in Epping in the northern suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria (Australia) in February 2017. We are preparing ourselves to establish offices in Queensland (Australia) and Auckland (New Zealand) in the near future.
BUSINESS MODEL
The business model is currently centred on providing a well-integrated range of repair, maintenance and calibration services for highly specialised equipment coupled with the supply of new or replacement instruments to create a holistic and whole-of-life offering. Customers generally have a strong focus on equipment accuracy and reliability, which in turn drives the need for CI Scientific to have skilled technical staff and strong customer service.
