Safety features and additional functions

The muffle furnace is fitted with interference suppression and the hinged door is fitted with a safety switch. A temperature limit controller with error break detection (temperature class 2, in compliance with DIN 12 880 Part 1/11.78) is fitted to protect against over-temperature. It is electronic, and works independently of the temperature control system.

  • Reference method in accordance with international standard
  • Over-temperature protection with interference suppression
  • Door safety switch and temperature limit controller
  • Temperature settings from 300–1100°C can be made

Muffle Furnace M 110

  • Operating principle

The pre-ground substance to be examined is weighed into an incineration tray. The tray is placed into the muffle furnace at the specified temperature, where it is incinerated and then weighed again. At the same time, the moisture content of the substance being examined should be determined in a separate process (for example using the Brabender MT-CA), as the quantity of ash must be correlated with the dry matter.
