Intended use
The Brabender Plastograph EC is the economical table-top version of the universal torque rheometer Plastograph® applied all over the world for application investigations in laboratories and simulation.
With its digital 3.8-kW motor, a torque measuring range of 200 Nm, and a speed range from 0.2 to 150 min-1, the Plastograph® EC is the perfect measuring drive for practice-oriented measurements with the Brabender® mixers and extruders for

Plastograph EC plus and EC
CAN bus system
The integration of a modern fieldbus system into the new Plastograph EC / EC plus makes working a real breeze: permanent communication between control modules, sensors, and computer, easy wiring of the system components, manifold expansion facilities - just plug and play.
Profit from state-of-the-art software packages for recording, representing, and evaluating your measuring data and documenting your tests. For manual operation, all important control data can be read on a control panel at the Plastograph EC and EC plus.
Extrusiograph / Conical Twin Screw Extruder
Brabender measuring extruders and the CTSE are interchangeable measuring heads which, in connection with Plastograph EC plus, serve for testing the extrudability of polymers and for studying problems occurring in research and development as well as in practical application. The counter-rotating twin screw extruder CTSE offers all advantages of counter-rotating twin screw extruders such as: forced feed, high output at short residence time, self-cleaning and careful plastification.
Measuring Mixers
Brabender series 30 and 50 mixers as well as planetary mixers, are easily attached as measuring heads to the Plastograph EC and simulate on a laboratory scale processes like compounding, mixing, masticating, etc. that are relevant for production and processing of polymers and other plastic and plastifiable material.
